Re: OOC Chat
You want to make it so that just when we think we've got out, you pull us back in...
Which is cool. And I hope you note that I am very carefully not jumping up and down like a poorly trained puppy begging you to respond to my latest IC post. See, I have discipline of sorts.

Might have something to do with the fact that I posted a link to this game on rpol, oh mysterious web predator...

I never really got to see Crow in action on the other site. It'd be good to see him here.

Yea, he's pretty much a stationary target.
So you decided to pick Crow up again or no?

Re: OOC Chat
Mortannis? Really? Dude, you've been gone for months and I just started having to NPC your character to offer some information on a previous sideplot Camille is digging up. Welcome back. You here to pick up Crow again?

That's what I was going to play in the Werewolf game before it got canned.

I don't do mages. Sorry. There isn't really a reason to play a mortal in a vampire game.

I like what I saw, mostly. I assume that only Kindred are playable in this game, right? I remember a Mortal concept I played in a Werewolf game many years. A Sorcerer Ecoterrorist.

Good Storytellers remove the garbage from the oWoD. Don't believe me? Take a look at my TBLA setting in the character creation and house rules section.
Then tell me what you think.

Re: OOC Chat
In truth I do. But at least now we have an option to simply ignore them instead of dealing with the Year of the Penis-monster that is critical the overall metaplot. Also, the various Bloodlines tend to be less powerful than the mainline clans in terms of "getting what you pay for" experience wise.

You don't think the plethora of bloodlines or excessive amount of merits for every little thing is the exact same?

Re: OOC Chat
I wonder if we could play a get set in the "Dark Ages" but with Requiem rules. I'm just a little leery of OWoD. A lot of times you'd get something like a module in which the Garou have a climatic battle with a monster made from severed human penises. And then a few months later you'd have an article or section telling some of the history of the Penis-monsters. And then there'd be a book telling you how to build and play your own giant Penis-monster, with notes on renegade giant Penis-monsters. That a few months later you could also play.
Sorry. It just kind of gets on my nerves a little.

It's all good. It's just an idea. Not sure when or if Ac1d is doing anything with the DA game. I hope it goes somewhere too.

Re: OOC Chat
<-- forgotten too
I wouldn't mind an Invictus game per se, I just think I have more than enough to be getting on with. I plan on playing in the Dark Ages game when it starts, so counting that and the game I'm running that will (hopefully) start soon, I think I have a full timetable.

Re: OOC Chat
You'd make a good Kindred. btw, I missed your thread last night. Sorry bout that, I'll post for you today. And in case there's still any question on the matter, we're writing Gypsy off as AWOL. Pitty too, she was a good player.
Re: OOC Chat
I mostly got "grandfathered in" to Requiem from a time when the site included Werewolves, Mages and the like. As it is, I'm grateful to Claymore for shoehorning my Sleepwalker mortal into Kindred business.
And it's not so much the politics as the pettiness of the politics. It's hard for me to care much about which Neonate gets feeding rights in which urine-soaked alley. Likewise, it's hard for me to care all that much about a newly risen elder joining the Carthians.
Unless he's simply joining them to get access to homeless people and castaway so he can forge them into a blood-bound army in order to seize control of the city and rule it as a mad blood-god...

Re: OOC Chat
Well, my goal was to have the Ordo find a sleeping elder and wake him up. The mages protecting him aren't keen on that... and somewhere in the mix he decides to not return to the Invictus and instead becomes a Carthian.
(Read: There is a lot of political jockeying going on and a lot of backstory)
This brings out the chaos.
One thing though... Why do you like WoD if you don't like political? I mean... that's kind of the whole point behind Requiem.

Re: OOC Chat
My biggest problem is that I'm not that interested in political games all that much. They just seem so... small. Especially in Vampire. Personally, if I was going to play a Vampire, I'd rather play one via Nomads - a NWoD Near Dark.
